BizLIVE - U.S.-based IT giant Apple Inc. has opened its wholly-owned subsidiary Apple Vietnam LLC to tap rising demand for IT items in the country.

Apple Vietnam LLC was licensed by Ho Chi Minh City authorities on October 28, 2015 and is based in the city’s District 1, the Ministry of Information and Communications-run ICT News website reported.
The firm is owned by Gene Daniel Levoff, who is Apple Inc.’s vice president of corporate law and director. He is a director at Apple Operations International.
According to ICT News, Apple Vietnam LLC has rented the office for months but no operation has been seen yet.
Apple has sent representatives in Vietnam and has authorized local retailers such as FPT Shop and Mobile World Corporation to directly import iPhone for distribution in Vietnam.
Apple has not unveiled sales in Vietnam, but market research companies have deemed that its sales are at the top in the Southeast Asian country.
