BizLIVE - Vietnam imported 9.37 million tons of coal at a value of $934 million in the first eight months of this year, down 2.6% in volume but up 49.4% in value from a year earlier driven spiking prices, with the major providers being Australia, Russia and China. In 2016, Vietnam spent $927 million to import 13.3 million tons of coal, according to customs data.
