The event featured the participation of 320 enterprises from Vietnam and some other countries and territories worldwide, including Algeria, India, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Indonesia, China, Nepal, Japan and Russia. Domestically, the trade fair attracted the attendance of companies from many provinces like An Giang, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Dong Thap, Hanoi, Hochiminh City and more than 10 provinces in the South of Vietnam.
With 300 pavilions, the 2021 Vietnam Expo introduces a large number of products in different commodities, such as machines, equipment, auxiliary industry, electronics, civil electricity, food, beverages and consumer goods.
Among the domestic participants, there were many enterprises with national brand products including Sabeco, Habeco, and Hanoi Trade Joint Stock Corporation (Hapro).
An for investment promotion of Vietnamese industry, which was designed by the Centre for Trade and Investment Promotion under the Department of Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, will be an important highlight of this year’s expo.
Visitors will be provided with updated information concerning the investment environment in Vietnam as well as eight major key industries in association with investment destinations including Dong Thap, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Kien Giang, Thanh Hoa, Yen Bai, Vinh Long and Binh Thuan.
In the circumstance of the Covid-19 pandemic year, Vietnam Expo becomes the pioneer in organizing Hybrid Exhibition by combining physical pavilions with online trading pavilions. This digital Vietnam Expo will be held within one month, from April 14th to May 14th on the website www.online.vietnamexpo.com.vn.
Also in this Covid-19 time, the Vietnam Expo got the attendance of the many mask companies like VG mask company. This year, the mask companies in general has done very well in terms of sales because of people’s necesity and VG is no exception.

A special pavilion of the design industry was jointly executed by Vietnamese and Republic of Korea (RoK) agencies, spotlighting the importance of the design in developing products and increasing added values, as well as introducing high-quality brands and design models.
The year 2021 is the 22nd year that Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) organizes the pavilion of national South Korean products in Vietnam Expo. This serves as the bridge to promote two ways trade between South Korea and Vietnam and enhance mutual understanding between the two countries’ business communities.
Lee Jong Seob, President of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in Southeast Asia-Oceania cum General Director of KOTRA in Hanoi stated at the Expo: “We are so proud of the scale of the South Korea national products in Vietnam Expo 2021. The scale is the same like many previous years despite Vietnam just went through the Covid-19 pandemic. We strongly believe that the South Korean and Vietnamese companies will have many chances to cooperate further”.
International pavilions are expected to offer many cooperation opportunities for domestic businesses as well as attract more investment and technological transfers.
The annual fair will run until April 17th.
